The WMA offers a fairly broad range of resources to the local church for training in missions. Our texts and materials include everything from single-page handouts to 300-page textbooks. Our academic focus spans the gamut from popular, introductory level studies up through in-depth, seminary level studies. And our formats include e-pamphlets, e-books, audio recordings, and audio-video presentations.
Our resources are grouped under three basic categories.
- Basic level studies: Texts and materials that cover the subject matter in a simple, introductory fashion, and are designed for broad use. Many of these materials may be covered in just one or two meetings. A couple of our basic-level texts represent a more-developed introductory study (about 75 pages in length), and are designed to be studied in a space of five to ten weeks (at two hours per week).
- Intermediate level studies: Texts and materials that cover the subject matter in a much more thorough and detailed fashion, and are designed for a small-group setting. These materials usually run between 250 and 325 pages in length, and are designed to be covered in a space of about 16 weeks (at two hours per week).
- Specialized level studies: Texts, materials, audio recordings, and audio-video presentations designed to treat a broad range of topics that are limited in nature (the topic has a narrow focus) yet important for successful missionary work. Examples of topics include: evangelism, character growth and maturity, and missionary photography.
